Doesn't mention anything about being waterproof anywhere, so I assume it's not. I don't know how the heck you can claim that something's designed for bicycling if it's not waterproof. OK, maybe it is, but it's not WELL designed for bicycling.
"The Podio can be worn around the neck, carried in your pocket or attached to your bike handlebars. The anodized metal case ensures that the machine is water-resistant, so it's safe to take it to the pool or use in the bathroom. It's also built for any outdoor activity and is an ideal companion when camping or hiking."
There you go. Water resistant. So unless you plan to ride your bike into a lake, canal, bay, river, pool, spa, or other large body of water you should be OK. A little bit of rain should be OK. And even if you are thinking that you will encounter A LOT of rain (risk I run every ride all summer long) you could always stash the device into a plastic bag, secured by a rubber band around the handlebar mount. A sandwich bag would be perfect, and really easy to pack.
Pretty cool looking device - although I would like to see the price a little lower.
By the way, can be found at Amazon (
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B003COE1WO/...O&linkCode=asn ) or icyclesusa.com (
http://store.icyclesusa.com/audio-po...rce=googlebase )
Both places have the same price.
Does not seem to be a very common item in the USA, so if you get one you will have something cool that nobody else will have. If you are into bike bling that makes everyone say either "WOW! That thing is so cool! Where did you get it?" or "holy crap, that is the most annoying thing EVER - who loads 2 GB of Kenny G onto a device everyone else can hear" then the Podio might be for you!
