I have a Campy drivetrain and have only once used a Campy-branded chain (a Chorus 5.9mm ultra-narrow, which was purchased at a 50% off sale). I've had great results with all of the following chains:

- KMC DX10SC (rebranded as Performance Forté)
- SRAM PC1050 (used three of these with splendid results)
- SRAM PC1090
- Shimano CN6700 (currently in use with another two waiting in the wings)

I've used the Superlink IV from Lickton Cycles to join chain ends. It fits the 5.9-5.95mm chains and is reusable, unlike the SRAM master link (which is, technically, reusable, though SRAM recommends against it). The Wipperman Connex link should work just as well.
