Not to belabor umd's point, but I'll toss in my own example: 4,549 miles in 2010. Typical week is 4 weekday rides around 30 miles after work and 2 weekend centuries, or a total of 320 miles over 6 rides = 53.33 miles/ride. But none of my rides are close to that. They're either 30-ish or 100 or so.
