Hello all,

I am looking to buy my first mountain bike. I have decided to go used and would like some opinions. I will use the bike mostly for commuting. I am looking for a quality ride that I can upgrade in the future. I may use this bike for some off road use but mostly pavement.

Here is the link. They are asking $200 for a 93 Kona Fire. Is this a good bike and a good deal for my use??? Please help.... I know enought about bikes to know that I have to go used to stay in this price range...

Classic Kona Fire Mountain mountain bike - early 90s.

This bike is in great condition - always kept indoors.
I recently had it tuned up which included:
• All new cables
• New bottom bracket
• Rear cassette
• New chain
• Brake pads
• New IRC MythosXC 2.1 front and rear tires

The tune up alone with parts is worth close to $300

BB to top of seat tube: 19"
BB to center of top tube: 16"
Center of top tube to center of headset: 22"
