Nobody handles carbon better than Asians, that's the cruel reality. In fact when u talk with an asian manufacturer they asked you how do you want the item and they do the rest, even the darn paint and the shipping delivered to the door. This means that is way cheaper for the factories buy in Asia with their own quality control. Besides the chances to get a failed item are pretty slim, versus in the states, italy or wherever.

These translates in big profits if you look at it. The bad part as somebody said, is that nobody knows exactly where the stuff has been built at at all. I wouldnt be surprise at least to me that even some of the campagnolo stuff is made in asia. And if it is, probably will be a great secret. Regarding shimano, they have been building stuff outside japan since forever.

One of my bikes i clearly made in taiwan and i found out because of a sticker in the BB shell. This was not a surprise but the darn frame was flawless, so who cares. But what it annoys me a little is to find 2 or 5 brands using the same frame and asking from super cheap prices to mickey mouse amounts of money for the same thing.

what would be nice is to see prices going down, after all the frame should be cheaper to buy for the manufacturer. Averybody loves money so i doubt prices will go down any day soon.
