I have been thinking to make my own canvas bags myself. Something along the lines of what you made (to fit a 17" laptop though).

Could you post some close up pics of the pannier? especially what you did on the reverse? I assume they are 'racktop' double panniers?

If you have some design sketches, please pass those along too if you don't mind.

LASTLY, is the leather riveted to the canvas or did you stitch it as well? If you did Rivet it, is there leather on the inside of the bag as well to give it more strength?

Sorry for allthe questions...but I am really curious.
