If it helps... I had IT Band issues leading up to a Marathon a few years ago. Probably not what you want to hear, but the best thing for it is to stay off it until it's better. I got it about 2 months before my marathon and I ran with it for a few weeks. Stayed off it for a week or so, tried again, hurt it, and stayed off it. I got a cortisone shot, that didn't do anything for it. I could run about 5 miles before it would bother me. The Doc told me it wouldn't hurt it any worse if I ran the race, so I did, and it was 16 miles of hell. I stayed off it for a month afterwards and I haven't had a problem since (4 years).
You are not going to lose any fitness if you stop running at this point, so I'd stop running until your race. Naproxen or Advil may help. IT Band straps may help, and stretching WILL help. If you can deal with the discomfort, run your race.
Afterwards, swimming and biking may be OK - i'd try them. Biking may hurt since it's a similar motion, but everyone is different. Here is a reference article I bookmarked:

Good luck!!!
