Tomorrow I get some scope surgery on my knee, so I wanted to get a long ride in before I'm out for a few weeks again. I got my Pulse build all wrapped up and have about 50 miles on it, and I just got it dialed tonight.

I was only about a block away going about 14mph when out of the corner of my eye I see this grey object coming at me and WHAM hits me right in the side of the face, knocked my hearing down a bit and made me see stars. It also knocked my headphones clear off my head. The split second I saw in my periphery and the grey color and the way it sounded as it rocked me when it hit reminded me of one of those rubber dallas cowboy souvenir street footballs.

Anyway, I don't mind getting yelled at etc, but I was not going to put up with getting a football thrown at me, so I swung around, and low and behold there was nothing there but a cloud of settling feathers.

A damn flying pigeon collided w me in the face as I was riding 14mph, and it died.

A chick was jogging by in the opposite direction as this happened and did a 180 and just stood shocked; the whole thing reminded me of the time Randy Johnson hit that bird pitching for the Diamondbacks.
