VAR made the #77 Mondiale which was a multi-purpose milling tool designed for these jobs.

This machine has the ability to thread steerers (including threadless) of complete forks, ream the inside of the steerer tube, can thread a BB shell and face it, faces headtubes, cuts the fork crown raceway, and also operates as a headset press. The VAR Mondiale also had the ability to cut seattube slots.
