Less than $100 in parts and you are back in business and the bike is still a good deal. If you sell the current rear wheel, even for $20, you are doing even better.
Thats actualy about $110 + shipping, then hes still looking at probably $50 for a tune-up if not more, so no great savings over going to the LBS for that one

but indeed, caveat empor, that wheel is obviously a replacement.
