BTW, any source for your factoid about 9000 bike riders who commute in downtown Chicago every day, even in mid-winter?
I really don't claim to live in heaven, since I'm only semi-divine.
But I do claim that there are advantages to living in a city for many carfree people. I'm happy that my city has made some significant moves toward making alternative transportation viable--like voting their own dollars to support public transit, multi-use trails, and Complete Streets.
What exactly is your problem with this? Perhaps if you really strained your brain, you too could find something positive to say about
something. Or perhaps not...
As for the "factoid", Brontide answered better than I could have. I was just speculating that if 3 or 4 percent of Chicagoans commute by bike, that's a large and healthy number, probably > 9000.
