A few years back, wheels like this made of carbon were being marketed at high dollars as the way of the future. Unfortunately they didn't pan out, and went the way of wooden wagon wheels.

If you're routinely breaking spokes, you're either very rough on equipment, and they won't help, or you simply haven't run into a decent wheelbuilder yet.

People are building quality spoked wheels for road, cyclo-cross, mtb and even tandems that go thousands of miles with little or no service, and interestingly these are usually lighter and less expensive than the cool stuff. Ask around locally and seek out the guy who can solve your problems.

BTW- 70-90,000 miles on lightweight sewups, and the only spokes I've ever broken were 2 that were cut half way through when my chain got caught behind the freewheel.
