Yeah, that section isn't rails-to-trails -- it's very hilly with some tricky, sharp turns if you're going downhill.
Not too far from there to the west, just over the Alabama line is the prettiest section of the whole Atlanta-to-Anniston trail. The section of the Chief Ladiga Trail from the GA/AL line to Piedmont, AL cuts through the mountains but is flat since it was a rail line -- beautiful scenery.
