Thoughts while riding...

Hey! Over the weekend they fixed up that horrible pot hole filled parking lot that I ride through to avoid a really messy intersection! Alright!

Hey! That house that I rode by on Friday that had the glass top patio table leaning against the plastic kids basket ball hoop on the curb waiting for the garbage man? Yup... It fell over throwing broken glass all over the road. D'oe!

The biggest bummer with the broken glass on the road is that it is a private street so it does not get any sort of city maintenance. Which leads me to a question... Does anyone else ride on private streets and if so, have you ever had any problems with the locals telling you that you aren't allowed? My commute has some pretty big hills on busy streets, but there is a little private street that I can take to get out of the traffic. Still have to deal with the hill, but at least I don't have to deal with getting buzzed at the same time. So far nobody has said anything, but I have got some "You ain't from around here" type looks.
