Both years the Berkley was manufactured it was with 27" wheels. The first year it had chrome wheels, the second year it had alloy wheels. Then Fuji dropped the model. It's a good rider with a Valite frame as I recall. As for a replacement, I would buy an alloy 27" wheel regardless of what it originally came with because chrome wheels are lower quality. The way you can tell which wheel you have is to simply put a magnet on the rim. If it sticks you've got chrome, if not you've got alloy. BTW, you have standard, 1 1/4" rims regardless if it was alloy or chrome.
Hope this helps.
OK, I checked my records. If your bike has chrome wheels it was a 83 model, if it has alloy its a 84. The estimate of 85 was very close.
