8-10 years old? Trash the rim and spokes and rebuild with the hub and new spokes/rim.

Paying to have it built with new spokes and old rim is a risk not worth the price. If the rim isn't good, you just wasted money cause the wheel will still suck.

spokes $25-$30 (?)
build $65 (?)....................................$100 risk for a sucky wheel, spend another $65 for a rim that WILL work.
