Wow, that's some good stuff. Some of those are definitely do-able, so I'll let you know if I try your idea and let you test it out.

Like I said, I don't want to steal ideas, so here are some of my own that I might pursue: a helmet mounted heads-up cyclometer, an inclinometer like mattm said, a cyclometer that incorporates wind speed or at least displays static windspeed, a frame mounted tool case mounted low on the frame, and various clothing ideas.
I'm a mechanical engineer, programmer, tinkerer, decent sewer, and ok with circuits. I really don't know where to start!
