No cutting at all. They wanted to cut the steerer tube, but I told them to put down the cutting devices and step back from the bicycle. Machak is a custom-built bicycle, built in 2003, and he was shipped to the shop with a full steerer tube to help with the customization.

I would count the spacers and tell you how many and what size, but Machak was stolen on Easter Sunday, and just now I have a great deal of difficulty looking at photos. I miss him so much. However, I think I had several "full size" spacers, and one half size spacer.
