It wouldn't be cheap because you need a new BB too. It's something to keep in mind if you should really need it.

I had the same problem when I last rode in my 20's. I over came it then and I think with practice I can re-develop some of that natural grace that lets a big man get on and off without falling flat on his butt. I think as I get more confident I will be able to raise my seat more to let my legs stretch. Hell even if I have to use a curb to get on and off it will probably be worth it just to not cramp and force my knees into my chest.
