I've got the rack adapter on my bike and it's connected with zip ties. I haven't had any problem with it coming off even with having one zip tie break after a wreck. I check them now before I ride and keep a couple spare ties on the bike, but I doubt I'll need 'em unless I wreck again. I've had the mount over a year and I'm very happy with it.
