Without knowing your bike riding and health history, this post is meaningless to us. If you're new to the "sport," and you've neglected your health your entire life to the point where your Dr said you'll be dead in 5 years if you don't start exercising and eating healthy, then I can understand why your heart was protesting. The good news is that you will notice improvement the more you ride. Just keep within your boundaries for the first few weeks and months.

Oh yeah - put down the pizza, donuts and chips. Those are reward foods for only those of us in top condition.
