That's correct, I only have it plugged in when I'm riding or charging. I'm very happy with it's performance and don't see the need to have BMS with the CellLog on board. I hope you're getting at least one unit that logs. I think it's invaluable to have the log data showing how each cell performs while under load. When I build my second LIFEPO4 pack, I may get the scaled down CellLog without logging since I have this one that does log.
Yeah, when I get around to it I will likely order 2 of the logging CellLogs. I'm guessing I'll do a few logs in the beginning and not again until (if) I have a problem. What are you using for charging now? It sounds like your mass charging with a 24v charger without a BMS as I do and using the CellLog to check for a hight cell.
