Usually it happens that we are going at a decent pace and have dropped a portion of the main group so knowing there is a planned rest stop we decide to attack it and wait for the others. Might not be a pro thing to do, but it makes it a bit more fun. Get a wee better workout and we get a chance to talk about stuff we are never going to buy for awhile longer
MUPs seem to be very regional...while this sort of thing would be nuts where I live I believe beanz or someone near him posted s picture of what was a virtual bike highway, where I could see fast paced riding being a bit more acceptable and lower traffic.
