I'd say if you're not hopped up on drugs, go for it, but I'm not an expert.
I hiked 2.5 miles to the bus. Going out for food/beer after work. Getting ride home. It's snowing a little bit here.
A guy put his bicycle on the bus rack, and boarded. He didn't have anything smaller than a $5 bill so he asked if anyone had change. I was going to give him a swipe from my 10-ride bus card as a "professional courtesy", but someone ponied up 5 ones for him instead.
