Just depends what you care about really. If you agree with the king philosophy buy one, if not spend the cash you save on something else.
A lot of people can go down in quality and save even more money. I'm perfectly happy with a $20 loose bearing headset. Unless money is no object It makes more sense to save the cash on the headset and spend it where you will notice the difference.
i can only assume youve never used one if youre saying you won't notice a difference.. and one more reason to buy them... and to people who are happy with their crappy headsets.. why do you even read and post on the forum? to let the world know how well you make do? so let me restate.. this thread is for people who cherish a smooth ride.. i was perfectly happy with my P.O.S beater in costa rica .. bicycles are fun.. but i like my daily ride to be as nice as possible.. and i think youre crazy if youre riding a bike everyday and not dropping a nice sealed headset and BB on it.. 80 bucks more is hardly "money is no object".. where do you people work, the salt mines?
