To be honest I believe the problem was lack of experience, those things u have to pass them seated putting all your weight in the rear wheel kind'a a doing a wheelie to avoid the front wheel to get stuck, the last thing you want is do not have control of the front wheel, at the same time the fall itself was the same problem i believe, inexperience. At street speeds you can control the fall.
