I did the last 2 years and the weather was miserable. I suspect there are some nice views atop Sand Mtn but visibility has only been a few feet the last 2 years I was there. I'm not driving 300 miles to ride in that kind of weather again.
There is always the Tour de Cashiers the same day. I'm hoping the weather holds off until later in the day.
