Absolutely. My stolen commuter mtn bike was a used bike.

I've been watching the LA Craigslist for the past 6 months intermittently, and there has been NOTHING worthwhile. It's a joke, actually. 80s-era nonracing bikes being sold for $200, with no new parts. Plus, I'm short, so I need a particularly small bike, which makes it nearly impossible to even find anything that fits correctly.

I don't know who is buying these crap bikes on LA Craigslist, but I'm not going to pay $200+ for a 15 year old bike with no new parts when I can go to BD, and get a bike with a warrantee for the same price, or pay an extra $100-$150 for a good gruppo and possibly an IGH.
