It's a sport touring geometry, not a touring bike, so the comparison to the Miyata and Trek is apples to oranges (though in the first year of production and possibly the second, the Sequoia had much longer chainstays). The Sequoias were also equipped with much nicer components than the Miyata 600 or Trek 520. Mine has Superbe Pro brakeset and pedals, alloy headset, high quality Specialized sealed hubs laced to MA2 rims, Sugino AT crankset, et al. At 60cm, it weighs in at a shade under 24 lbs.
