I'm going to take it my friends house either tonight or tomorrow and see if he wants to help me clean it up. He's usually of the same sentiment as you about saving things that are easier to discard than work on. We were thinking if the frame wasn't shot it could be a team effort to restore. My daughter's just about getting her bike skills up to par where I can ride with her instead of running along as a mobile safety net. My bike was stolen as a youth due to my brother's carelessness and my step-father wouldn't replace it I guess as some sort of group punishment. Lately I've been feeling that I've been deprived of those bike memories and need to reconcile it with my soul.
