I'm currently riding a 10 Specialized Tricross Triple (Shimano 2300 grouppo). Recently came across SRAM APEX - very intriguing.

Very seldom do I run the smallest ring on the triple, but its nice to know that I have it...but I've wanted to make my Tricross a little more road dedicated, but still be able to "granny" it in a emergency...hence why Apex caught my attention - a double ring setup, but with a 32 cog for the crazy climbs.

Anyone try it yet? I figure anything is better than the 2300 I have right now.
And please, don't tell me to just go out and ride - I'm already finding the limitations of the 2300, primarily the thumb shifters....as I am now getting more comfortable on the drops, and riding those most of the time, so the Double Tap system is attractive to me.....
