Instead I would a little farther north to Saratoga, ride through town on Saratoga Ave and keep going when it turns into Highway Nine / Big Basin Highway all the way up to Highway 35. This area is refereed to as "four corners". Keep straight on 9 and enjoy the ride downhill through Boulder Creek out to the beach.
