Well, I bought it. I really think that the frame might be a bit small for me, which bums me out. I ended up paying $180, which helped me save a bit and I didn't feel like I was low-balling or ripping anyone off (the seller was super nice). It came with a brand-spanking new (NOS) pair of Barum tubeless tires in the box. They are stamped 1975. I don't know what that kind of thing is worth, but I would imagine that to the collector/vintage enthusiast this would be a sweet find.

Now my only thoughts are: do I keep the bike assembled, or jack it for parts and find a new frame?

If anyone happens to have a large 'Favorit' frame that they might want to sell, or swap for this 57cm, I would certainly be all ears. I would like to stick with favorit if possible due to the branding of the wheels, and the fact that the tires are of Czech make. I'd love something a little bigger. This frame is actually very nice, despite the drab colour. Nice lugs, no rust, very very few scratches. I was surprised by the light weight! The guy said that this was essentially a 'de France' or Olympic worthy bike in its day so I guess it goes with the territory. No markings re: the tubing (I don't know if it's reynolds or some Czech made stuff) - there is a little band on the seat tube with an Olympic ring design and that's it for markings.

Let me know if anything comes to mind.

Thanks all!
