I had a bizarre situation this weekend while cleaning up a Diamond Back Prevail tg. I wanted to shine up the paint a bit, so I tried some of my high-end light car polish (Menzerna Final Polish) on a rag. It ended up making the paint cloudy, as if I had just used a MUCH more aggressive polish. I ended up having to use some Meguiar's #10 (clear plastic polish, the lightest stuff I had) to clear up the haze, but it still didn't look all the fantastic. I have done a good bit of detailing on cars and some bikes, but I have never seen a light polish make anything look worse than when it started.
