i ride to work (through manhattan traffic) many days with my nikon D70 digital body, several lenses, nikon speedlight, filter set and other associated gizmos. maybe about $3 grand worth of stuff.

admittedly, i do play it safe on those days, but mostly because the extra weight on my back throws me off.
