Works pretty well if you have a parking space and don't need the car home every night.

I actually do this. There is a garage and I have an office to put my bike in. I leave my car, ride one way. That gives me an opportunity to take my dirty clothes home and bring it fresh one for the next day. The only thing is that you have to watch the weather for consecutive day ride. But if the weather sucks, I will take the commuter bus to get to work.
