Met Gary in Reston a week ago during Cyclefest.
Very friendly. Obviously there to promote his bike line mfr'd by Trek but didn't notice any slick salesmanship in his approach. Just loves bikes and talking about bikes and riding.

His Cronus road bike is interesting and I think he intentionally took a different than most other road bikes. (wider tire clearances to allow for full fenders and supposedly because of a wider front hub, makes for better road feel and overall stiffer bike. Wonder if that would be a benefit to crit riders)

Not a bad price point if my recollection is right. A sub16lb bike with dura-ace and carbon wheels for under $6k.
