I don't run lights or stop signs. Why? Give me a good reason why not? When my light is red, cross traffic has a green. Is my life so worthless that I'm willing to risk it to save a minute? Or is it worth less than the cost of the ticket (for those that only stop when police are watching)? I've been hit by someone that ran a red light, when I was driving. They seemed to want to justify why they did it. Did I really care why they did at that point? No. When you're hit by someone that ran a red, do you really want to hear them say "I didn't think I needed to stop" or "I wanted to save time"? I somehow doubt it. I have numerous lights/signs on my commute. I catch up with cars all the time, and yet I'm stopping for the lights/signs.
