Another night without rainfly or tarp. I slept right through the stars, but sleep was good and long .We woke around 7am and packed up to get ready for a nice hot breakfast down the road at the junction. We filled up on our food and lots of coffee and headed down the Cassiar. A couple miles down, we passed over Hanna Creek and saw spawning Sockeye Salmon in their bright red color. After 10 miles from the junction, we stopped at the Ellsworth Logging Camp. We had a snack and I mailed off my post cards. The next 45 miles was more or less flat and we rode hard without a break until we reached Cranberry River. The scenery wasn't very exciting and we observed much evidence of past logging activity in the area. We ate lunch at the rest area and moved on another 20 miles to Kitwanga Lake, passing a mushroom camp along the way where people were setting up to search for pine mushrooms and dry them in large tarp huts. We also spotted a coyote on the road and I got a nice photo before it disappeared in the bush. At the end of our day, we set up camp along Moonlit Creek, away from the rest area where we cooked and had a nice campfire. (81 miles)
