Why the longer seatpost? You can only go so high and still have the right position to the pedals. I could see maybe wanting to get rid of the suspension post for speed. Handlebars would be cheap enough. You didn't mention the tires. If you are looking for speed a switch to a narrow slick type tire would probably help more than anything. Still won't be the Rapid though. It has race type rims& tires different gearing ect. BTW, I have an 05 Cypess LX and love it as is but I am shoping for a better saddle.
