So do I. I would expect that folks of our ilk could be above that kind of name calling...guess not.
Nice generalization. What's a "hard core road cyclist"? Someone who can average 24mph? Someone who rides more than 200 miles a week? Someone who takes their riding seriously? What a moronic statement.
And that makes it ok...wow, we've regressed to what, 4th or 5th grade?
Attitudes like this make cycling dangerous for all of this because, whether you think so or not, if these are the feelings you harbor towards all drivers it comes through in the way you interact with them.
Sure, there are idiots, clueless morons, and general wastes of protoplasm on both sides of this issue. But good God people, rise above it.
Sorry if I generalized there, I should have been more specific.
There are good drivers out there and there are CAGERS!
Cagers that seem to always try to wipe out motorcyclists on the road wheter through testosterone overdose caused actions when they see any sport bike rider out there as a challenge to their manhood or just being stupid and unattentive on their phones and ending up running into bikers they "didn't see". I do not hesitate to call these people "cagers" as they deserve to be called so. Anyway, It does not sound too vulgar or insulting when you think of it. there are many more nasty names I could come up with for them but with all the problems that these crazy car drivers have caused to the motorcycling community, "Cager" have pretty much become the universal term for stupid/dangerous car drivers with motorcyclists. Go check out the motorcycle club I'm a member of at VFRD.com and they will confirm this to you, Just note that VFR riders aren;t even the "hard core" type of bikers there are out there, so if we call then "cagers", think of what the other motorcyclists call them....
