They really aren't claiming insane savings. The 2010 catalog shows 71s savings in a 40k tt with the "old" 404, the new wheel is a claimed 73s over the same distance.
And Pcad, the weight difference between the 404 clinchers and these 404 carbon clinchers is ~100g.
