I am not so sure about this. Will the electric pump have zero maintenance and last decades? A pump like a Silca will last decades, and pumping up a bicycle tire is very easy with a good pump. I would definitely want an electric pump if I was pumping up car tires but I don't think it is necessary for a bike.
