New entry into the club:
1996 Bianchi Eros.
The bike is equipped with the original Campagnolo Mirage 8-Speed Gruppo.
The bike was found on Craigslist. It probably had less than 1000 miles on it based upon the condition of the drivetrain. I paid $350 for it.
Upon receiving the bike, I cleaned up the frame, removed the cassette and degreased it. I also changed the inner chainring from a 32t to a 26t. I retaped the handlebars and outfitted the bike with a new stem to allow for a better fit.
New white bottle cages and a seatbag complete the bike. The only other improvement I can see is a new saddle and new pedals. It generally fits her, but she still has to schedule a fitting session.
The wheels are pretty heavy so I have some Mavic Open Sport rims on order which I'll have laced to the original Campy Hubs.
