At red lights, if the intersection is clear and doesn't require me to filter, I will run it. We all have our ways of getting there faster. In cars, people don't seem to bat an eye at going 5, or even 10 mph over the speed limit. But oh no! Run a red light on a bicycle when the intersection is clear is somehow... different.

Also, let us not forget that motorists run red lights all the time. Ever wonder why they have red light cameras at some intersections?
And they run stops even more often. I'd be a very, very rich man if I got a penny for everyone who runs the stop in front of my house.
