i was just thinking that the only thing that differentiates that bike from a "real" road bike, like the Defy, is the fact that it has flat bars. and i wondered if everyone thought that drop bars are what really defines a road bike.

i think of my rapid as a road bike with ~$250-300 left in my pocket.

i'll have to see if i want for more hand positions than the bar ends give me when i get into more rides of >50 km.
