If this business model is not working, it must be changed or suffer the ultimate fate of going out of business. Like I said - the industry needs some fresh blood and new ideas. The old ones are not working and the online retailers are laughing all the way to the bank. The industry counts on its customers to do all the work instead of working WITH them.
EDIT: ...with the few exceptions of those LBSs we find and like. Suffice it to say that whatever it is that they are doing sets them apart from a majority of the industry. Bad LBSs should take note, but they do not.
