I don't think or feel that I am a better person then you or anyone else for waiting on the green light, my reason for doing so is that I have found that while waiting there I can stop and look around and see things that I would have never noticed being there before or something I may never see again. I am 50+ now and have more years behind me then I probably have ahead of me so I like to make the most of it when given the chance, a person would be amazed what they can see in the 30 to 60 seconds while they are standing there waiting on the light to turn green.
