Hi guys, I'm in NYC and looking for a 56cm (or 22 inch, I think) multi-gear road bike. Something to start me out so I can join friends on suburban rides around NYC. My budget is $500 and under...I know, but if I get the bug I will upgrade.

There is a new Trek 1.2 in a shop here for 620+tax, looking to see if I can get a deal from someone cool on here.

Any advice is appreciated. I'm keeping an eye on craigslist as well.
