Everyone is too damned sensitive. It's not a personal slight, it's a cycling-induced xenophobic kind of thing.
Fixed. The OP said that this group has been together for a while, so it almost sounds like you have to achieve entry by a silent majority vote. If it is advertised as a no drop ride, it's a no drop ride, dammit. No need to hang around a group whose rules frequently change, but the ride description does not. I do like the idea of being the leader of the C ride from the same location. I would feel the same way as you.
